Faculty Orientation to Tulane University Libraries (TUL)

New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post accounts

To create and access your Academic Pass to NYTimes.com:

  1. Go to nytimes.com/passes
  2. Create a free NYTimes.com account using your Tulane email (tulane.edu) address.  If you already have an NYTimes.com account using your Tulane email address, you may log in with those credentials.
  3. You have successfully claimed a Pass when you see the Start Your Access screen
  4. Now you can enjoy seamless full access to NYTimes.com, INYT.com and NYT mobile apps just by logging into your NYTimes.com account from any location, on or off campus.
  5. Download NYTimes.com mobile apps at nytimes.com/mobile

Already have a registered NYTimes.com account with your Tulane email?
Need to do your annual renewal of your Academic Pass?

  1. Visit nytimes.com/passes
  2. Log into your NYTimes.com account.
  3. Check your email for a renewal confirmation with additional information and a verification link.
  4. You have successfully claimed a Pass when you see the Start Your Access screen.

 Once registered, visit nytimes.com/passes  to view your Pass eligibility and expiration timestamp at any time.

Setup Instructions

To access to The Wall Street Journal online and set up a personal subscription follow these steps:

Click this link https://partner.wsj.com/partner/tulaneuniversity or insert its URL into the web browser on your computer or mobile device.  This will open a page that will ask you to log in to the Tulane network, which will verify that you are a current Tulane affiliate.

Once verified you will be redirected to a subscription setup form.  Fill out the form and click on the Create bar.  That will set you up with a WSJ login and password for your personal subscription, and the WSJ should open on your screen with your subscription active.

Then watch your email for a message from the WSJ that will include info about mobile apps, newsletters, and other services related to your subscription.

Setup Instructions

New users should visit www.washingtonpost.com/subscribe/signup to sign-up/ to create an account with your Tulane email address.

Your account will provide access to washingtonpost.com and the WaPo app. You will be able to save stories, gift 10 artilces per month, read a digital replica of the daily printed edition in the app, and access their archives.
