Disaster Resilience Leadership Academy: A Guide

Established in 2009, the DRLA trains current and future leaders in disaster resilience and humanitarian assistance in vulnerable communities across Africa, South and Southeast Asia and the Caribbean.

Ways to Keep Current

Most academic databases allow you to set up RSS feeds for individual journals or searches (keywords, etc.). These allow you to keep current of new publications in your field without having to regularly repeat multiple searches.

JournalTOC is a free service that collects feeds from over 19,000 academic journals, and can provide you with new tables of contents whenever a new issue is published.  Browse by subject area, journal title, or combine multiple journal titles into a single feed!

Journals with International or Regional Focus

Some of the top journals in social work with an international or special regional focus. Journals listed above the horizontal line are in rank order according to impact factor; those below are unranked and appear alphabetically.

Highly Cited Journals

Here are examples of highly cited journals from across the subfields of social work. Set up personalized feeds to these or other journals using the free JournalTOC service, publishers' websites, or through our subscription databases.

Rankings are in order of impact factor as calculated by Journal Citation Reports for 2012. Ask a librarian for assistance using this tool or for more information on impact factors and other citation measurements.
