A variety of languages comprise the collection, including English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Latin, and Hebrew. Languages studied at Tulane are considered.
The geographic focus of the Rare Book collection includes North America, especially Southern Literature. Also, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Tulane University Special Collections (TUSC) has a special interest in Louisiana’s unique culture, and works related to New Orleans specifically.
Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean are covered by the Latin American Library Special Collections.
