Collection Strategies Guide

This guide outlines strategies for assessing collections and collection use at Tulane University Libraries.

Physical v. Electronic Spending

As electronic resources become more popular, our goal is to continue to balance our fiscal reality with patron needs and university strategy. With this in mind, you can use the Transactions by Format Type object to understand electronic versus physical resource spending in your disciplines. Access the object using the following link-- https://tulane.alma.exlibrisgroup.com/ng/hashed/11C7EE13BA8D17B5CC358925CA844658CD519E58. You can search by fund name and transaction year.

The results include --

A graph with total expenditure by format for a selected fund

A graph with total expenditure by format for all funds

A graph with number of items purchased by format for a selected fund
