Tulane University Libraries' Instruction Program

Course-level Collaboration

The goal of our instruction program is to fully collaborate with faculty to incorporate information literacy into what is already being taught. We serve as educators and experts in developing information literacy activities, lessons, discussions, and assignments. Instructors can position research and information literacy-related learning throughout their course as it suits their students' needs best. With this approach, students won’t get the same repeat material over and over through oversimplified library sessions, and information literacy dovetails to meet appropriate course level and programmatic needs.

Library Guide Creation

Library Guides are now available in Canvas course pages and, in some cases, a guide created for a specific course can be a useful resource for students.
