Diversity and Inclusion in Architecture

A guide to bring attention to issues and scholarship surrounding the diversity deficit in architecture.

How to use this guide

This library guide generally supports education on diversity and inclusion in architecture and specifically supports student work in “Identity & Agency in Architecture" (ARCH 3150 Spring 2022 offered by Laura Blokker) and (ARCH 4930/6930 Spring 2021 offered by Laura Blokker and Rashidah Williams).

The course and guide draw attention to a diversity deficit in architecture, particularly of professionals who identify as Black or African American and/or women, as well as persons of many other underrepresented identities and intersections of identities.
