TUL Library Department Promotions

This guide is a resource for TUL Library Department membership regarding the promotion process. It aims to clarify the process and provide resources.

Required Documentation

Once you complete the Application for Promotion Form, you must pull together your promotion dossier.

Your promotion dossier must include:

  • cover letter detailing why you should be promoted,
  • current curriculum vitae,
  • current and signed job description,
  • list of accomplishments since your hire or your last promotion,
  • other relevant information you'd like the committee to view,
  • and a letter from your supervisor. Note: the supervisor will submit their letter to the committee and the committee will upload it into Interfolio.

A link to Interfolio, the program where promotion documents are uploaded, is located on Gibson Online. 

The committee will arrange for Interfolio access for candidates. An email notification will be sent to candidates when an Interfolio case is open for them. Dossiers need to be uploaded in Interfolio before October 1. The supervisor letter will be uploaded to Interfolio by the committee.
