OpenAthens

A new authentication system for online resources.

What is OpenAthens?

OpenAthens is a service that acts as an intermediary between the library and vendors of information resources. In technical terms, OpenAthens is an identity and Internet Protocol (IP) - based authentication system that provides smoother access to the library's resources using your Tulane single sign-on (SSO) credentials. As of December 18, 2019, resources will begin to migrate to OpenAthens. To avoid broken links, please update your links.

OpenAthens facilitates access to all licensed library resources on campus and off, but a few library resources still use EZProxy for authentication when OpenAthens is not an option.
