How to search and consult Latin American and Caribbean newspapers in print and microform at Tulane. 

Newspapers in Library Search

To search newspapers, magazines, and other periodicals in the LAL open stacks, closed stacks, and offsite depository, as well as electronic subscriptions:

  • Go to Advanced Search in TU Library Search
  • Do a SUBJECT or KEYWORD search for "newspapers" AND [country of interest]; or "periodicals" AND [country of interest]
  • Limit the RESOURCE TYPE to Journals

Newspapers on Microfilm

To locate newspapers, magazines, and other periodicals on microfilm, you have two options:

A. Library Search

  • Go to Advanced Search in TU Library Search
  • Do a SUBJECT search for "newspapers" AND [country of interest]; or "periodicals" AND [country of interest]
  • Limit the RESOURCE TYPE to Microform
