This page includes reports on the following TUL's open access initiatives:
- Supporting Impactful Publications (SIP) Program: The Tulane Supporting Impactful Publications (SIP) assists in covering fees to support open access options for high impact peer-reviewed publications for Tulane scholars serving as corresponding authors who do not have grant or other funds available to cover them. This program is funded and coordinated by the University Office of Academic Affairs and Provost with additional financial and other support from the Tulane University Libraries. You can find more information about the program here.
- Publish and Read Agreements with CUP and ACS: TUL has negotiated agreements with two major scholarly journal publishers (i.e., Cambridge University Press (CUP) and the American Chemical Society (ACS)) that waive the article publication charges for Tulane authors who want their articles to be open access or publicly available. You can find more information about TUL's transformative open access publisher agreements here.
