Howard-Tilton Memorial Library collects materials that support the teaching and research programs of the university's Department of Computer Science. The department's academic program emphasizes both core computer science and its application to related areas in the sciences and engineering, the health and social sciences, and the humanities. Its goal is for our faculty and students to be recognized nationally and internationally for their research applying computer science to these areas. Equally it seeks to train the next generation of computer scientists who work at applying computer science at the interface with related disciplines. The department has seven tenure-track/tenured faculty and two Professors of Practice.
