Education (Teacher Certification) Collection Policy

The library maintains a modest approval plan through GOBI Library Solutions for education books that is limited to the scope outlined by faculty research, learning, and teaching needs. This is in addition to a small discretionary fund for important monographs outside the scope of this plan. While the library owns many individual journal subscriptions, a large number of articles from education journals are available through the library's subscriptions to large general "aggregator" article databases.

Reviews such as those from Choice, review journals, notification slips received from GOBI Library Solutions, occasional slips from foreign vendors, and recommendations from faculty, staff, and students. Librarians also review holdings of peer institutions along with use data to determine needs.

The library has no endowed funds for education at this time.
