Howard-Tilton Memorial Library collections policies supporting the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Tulane

Program Description

Howard-Tilton Memorial Library collects materials in support of teaching and research in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Degrees offered include the B.S., M.S., Ph.D., and an integrated fifth year B.S./M.S. program. Tulane's undergraduate Biomedical Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Bioengineering and Biomedical and Similarly Named Engineering Programs. Undergraduates in the program complete an individual research project and a team-design project. Areas of emphasis within the department include biomechanics, biomaterials, biotransport, bioelectronics, bioelectricity, bioinformatics, imaging, and tissue engineering. The Biomedical Engineering department collaborates extensively with the other departments, centers, and schools at Tulane, as well as businesses, start-ups, and programs within Louisiana
