Howard-Tilton Memorial Library collects materials in support of teaching and research in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Degrees offered include the B.S., M.S., Ph.D., and an integrated fifth year B.S./M.S. program. The undergraduate program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Undergraduates in the program complete an individual research project and a team-design project. Areas of emphasis within the department include biomechanics, biomaterials, biotransport, bioelectronics, bioelectricity, bioinformatics, imaging, and tissue engineering.
