The term media strictly refers to visual recordings, i.e. motion pictures, television series, documentaries, art film, news footage. Computer software and related supplemental media are generally purchased by the subject bibliographer from the appropriate book fund. The media collection supports programs in the humanities, social sciences, and science and engineering. Collecting is done at the considered discretion of the media librarian, in collaboration with Howard-Tilton subject librarians, and by faculty requests.
