Intro: Why so many databases?

No two databases have the same contents, keyword indexes, and algorithms. Below you'll find a variety of general academic and specialized databases to find journal articles in the field of History. Test and compare more than one to do a thorough information search!

These databases contain scholarly content specifically curated for area studies of different world regions. Note that not all of these databases provide full text. In those cases, use the "TU link" or check Library Search to see if we have access to the article, journal, or book. If we don't, you can order  a PDF scan through an Article Request on Interlibrary Loan.
