Join us for a free, two-day workshop on local copyright strategies led by leading scholars in copyright for libraries, archives, and museums, Kyle Courtney, Esq., and Elizabeth Townsend Gard. Kyle Courtney is Copyright Advisor for Harvard University and founder of Fair Use Week. Elizabeth Townsend Gard is the co-director of the Tulane Center for IP, Media & Culture. Through presentations, discussions, and hands-on activities, attendees will gain a strong understanding of basic copyright considerations for libraries, archives, and museums including but not limited to:
Attendees are also invited to bring their top three copyright problems that we'll workshop and solve together. Finally, Kyle and Elizabeth are making themselves available for one-on-one office hour style discussions Saturday afternoon.
Advanced registration is required as space is limited.
This workshop is based on Kyle Courtney's First Responders program designed for Harvard's 70+ libraries.
Friday Lunch and Snacks will be provided.
Saturday morning snacks will be provided. Lunch is on your own.
