Janey McGowan

Hello! My name is Janey and I am excited to help with digital scholarship needs.

I grew up primarily in Boulder, Colorado but have lived all over the country. While pursuing my bachelor's degree here at Tulane, I did digital information access work at the National Women's History Museum and undertook a digitization initiative while completing an independent study in Irish American Materials History.

With a background in public history and art, my appreciation for the beautiful, the cultural, and the human drive my passion for digital preservation. I am joining the academic library space with the goals of promoting access to information, imagining the digital future of scholarship, and preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Gulf South.
