Supports the teaching, research, and community-building missions of Tulane University by collecting, preserving, and making easily accessible library and archival resources relating to the study of Louisiana.
The Tulane University Digital Library's (TUDL) mission is the production and delivery of digitized and native digital holdings that support the teaching, research and public service goals of the University. The online communities of scholars, students and the public have access to the rare and unique collections in areas such as Latin American studies, jazz, New Orleans and Louisiana history and architecture.
Personal and family papers of free people of color and public records that relate to the group gathered together from several Louisiana archives, including Tulane's Louisiana Research Collection (LaRC).
Other contributors to this digital collection include LSU Libraries Special Collections, the Historical Center at the Louisiana State Museum in New Orleans, the Louisiana Division of the New Orleans Public Library, The Historic New Orleans Collection.
