Due to the humanitarian disaster in Haiti, GIDEON has launched a free E-book for health professionals interested in Haiti. GIDEON (Global Infectious Disease and Epidemiology Network) is an Infectious Diseases database.

The Emergency Access Initiative (EAI) free period for Haiti has been extended to March 19th. EAI provides free access to full text articles from major biomedicine titles to healthcare professionals, librarians, and the public in the United States affected by disasters.

The National Library of Medicine, in partnership with members of the Professional & Scholarly Publishing division of the Association of American Publishers, announce the availability of free full-text articles from over 200 biomedical journals and over 30 select reference books for libraries and hospitals affected by the earthquake in Haiti.

The disaster health information outreach listserv hosted by the Disaster Information Management Research Center at the National Library of Medicine.

Promotes the welfare of Haitians by contributing to and / or instituting
humanitarian programs (health, education, culture, development, etc)
in Haiti and in Louisiana
