The PBS program Religion & Ethics Newsweekly aired this report on the problem of young people who 'age out' of the foster care system. Street Kids

"The Haight Street Kids" is a short documentary showcasing young adults who run away from home and move to Haight Asbury in San Francisco. Many live homeless surviving by panhandling and selling drugs. The documentary created  by Shira Shane and Christopher Pedragal and produced by the Department of Art and Art History at Sanford University, was presented at the2009 Stanford Student Film Festival.

Keywords to use when searching for further information in databases include:  "runaways" - "street kids" - "travelers" -  "gutter punks" - "slackers" - "hobos"
