United States Government Documents: A Guide

Access to contemporary and historical information and documents created by the three branches of the United States federal government: Legislative, Executive, and Judicial.

Federal Regulations

Rules, proposed rules, and notices of Federal agencies and organizations, as well as executive orders and other presidential documents are published daily in the Federal Register. Permanent rules published in the Federal Register are then codified by subject in the annual Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

Executive Orders & Proclamations

Proclamations are intended for individuals outside of the government, while executive orders are intended for individuals within the government.
