Remote Access to Bloomberg Market Concepts Training

Freeman School students currently have access to Bloomberg Market Concepts training from any location. A Bloomberg terminal is not required to access this training. There is no charge for remote access to Bloomberg Market Concepts training for Freeman School students.

Go to Bloomberg for Education and follow these steps:

New users:

  • Select 'sign up' and create a Bloomberg account
  • Then sign in with your newly created credentials and follow the navigation to Bloomberg Market Concepts. Please note that you must sign up with your Tulane email address.

Existing users (if you already have a Bloomberg account):

  • Sign in with your Bloomberg username and password.
  • Follow the navigation to Bloomberg Market Concepts.

Where are the Bloomberg terminals?

Turchin Library's Financial Analysis Lab has 12 Bloomberg terminals.  The Lab is located on the 3rd floor of GWBC, Room 340.  There is one Bloomberg terminal in the Library's Research Center, room 331.

Create your Bloomberg account

If you have not done so already, you will need to create your Bloomberg login before proceeding with any training.
1.  Create your own login by hitting <GO> at the login screen.
2.  Fill out the form.
3.  Keep your cell phone handy.  You will be sent a confirmation number by text message.  Enter the confirmation number on the Bloomberg terminal.
4.  Login with your newly created login information.

Bloomberg Market Concepts

Bloomberg Market Concepts is an 8 hour, self-paced e-learning course that provides an interactive introduction to the financial markets.  BMC consists of four modules woven together from Bloomberg data, news, analytics and television. The training is completed at your own pace - you do not need to complete all 8 hours in one sitting. To access, log in to a Bloomberg terminal and enter BMC.
 
The BMC course consists of four modules that cover the essentials of the financial market and integrate more than 70 Bloomberg Terminal functions.
