The Hogan Jazz Archive collects and preserves published books and journals on New Orleans jazz, related musical genres and topics that show the cultural context that made the music possible. Special emphasis is on Creole customs, social and professional associations and businesses pertinent to the musical life of the city, jazz pedagogy, racial diversity and local traditions.
The Archive also has a substantial collection of uncataloged journals, accessible to Special Collections staff via card catalog. Please email email@example.com with any inquiries about our uncataloged journal holdings.
