The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) is the official journal of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences based in Washington, D.C., and publishes weekly. All papers have the seal of approval of an Academy member who is an expert in that area.  PNAS publishes current research broadly spanning the biological, physical, and social sciences.
