In Class Exercises

Using Library Search for Books

Use the keywords developed in the previous exercise to search Library Search for books. As you look through your results, notice the:

  • scan the titles for subject relevance
  • open a record and scan the subject headings, table of contents and summary for relevance and for alternative keywords
  • locate the call number
  • email the citation to yourself

One you find a book that seems to fit your research need, write down the call number and go find it in the library.
