Hello 2017 Scholars,
Welcome to Week 4! We are already midway through the program and time is going really quickly. Research is underway in the labs and you are working on your research projects. Please be respectively of your mentors and time they are giving to you in the labs. They worked really hard to make sure your experience is beneficial to you. The schedule this week has changed and we have two field experiences this week. On Thursday, June 29th we will visit Port Fourchon and Harvey Gulf Marine and on Friday, June 30th, we will visit NASA. Please review the links in the field trip section of this site for relevant information about each site we will visit this week, so you will be prepared to engage with the field trip hosts and ask questions.
Have a great Week 4.

We often think about and assess our health when it's already compromised. We also, do not think about health as an affect of our actions, but rather as a happenstance occurrence. This week's journal club is designed to help us find the connection between environmental health, human health, economic health. Also, we will consider how challenging it is to repair our health system and the barriers that makes it so.
Here is the calendar of events.
